Description

‘Dial Medicine for Murder: The Story of Shipman and Bodkin Adams, Why These Doctors Turned from Medicine to Murder’.

'Dial Medicine for Murder' explores the cases of Britain’s most notorious homicidal physicians of the 20th Century, Dr Harold Shipman & Dr John Bodkin Adams. The production compares and contrasts the background, arrest, trial, legacy and psychopathology of Shipman and Bodkin Adams interspersed with film footage and contemporaneous news items.

Presented as a clinical consultation, 'Dial Medicine for Murder' is played out by Dr Harry Brünjes (Medicine, 1980) & Dr Andrew Johns (Medicine, 1978). Harry and Andrew first met as medical students at Guy’s Hospital and went on to forge careers in general medicine and forensic psychiatry respectively.

The theatre doors will open at 18:30. The evening will begin with a drinks reception from18:30-19:30 with the production running from 19:30-21:00.
